‘Things got better but they never got good’
Written at the end of a long term relationship. After long conversations, so many tears the cabin fever set in so we decided to get out of the house. In the cold of Berlin we sat on the train and watched Berlin sail past in the crisp sun. It was then we noticed the drawings in all the trains were slightly askew - they were good, but not best. A sort of metaphor for the relationship. We felt we were fighting for something that just simply wasn’t working. We needed to accept that it was beyond saving, it was truly over.
