In 2016 we spent some time in Orange, NSW Australia to be with our father in the last weeks of his life. This song tells the story of those weeks, which felt like an eternity at the time. During one of his home visits from the palliative care unit (the doctors who take care of people at the end of their lives), one of the nurses mentioned she had to stop twice on this street because someone down the road was also in need of their care.

Although sad, this made us feel a little less isolated and alone, to know that another family just a stone's throw away was going through the same hardship as our family, just at that moment in time.
