This song is about the complexity that comes along with life as a touring musician whilst trying investing body and mind into a romantic relationship.

Being able to travel as your job is exciting and fulfilling, but certainly does come with challenges when you're away for months at a time and your partner is at home. The distance between you can grow, not just geographically. Touring and being in a relationship are each wonderful in their own way, but sometimes you just can't have both of those things.

Or maybe it's more about the search for the person with whom you can.
